Welcome to Hummingbot Bi-weekly #20, your regular dose of updates about new features 🤖, upcoming events 🎉, and announcements from our rapidly expanding community 👪!
🔑 NEW! Hummingbot v0.16.0
Today, we shipped Hummingbot version 0.16.0! This release adds a number of improvements to the pure market making strategy, including the new penny-jumping mode. We also added more developer documentation and fixed more bugs!
🎯 ONE Makers $10 mil Community Goal Achieved!
👏 Congratulations on achieving the community goal of $10 mil trading volume, $ONE Makers! The extra 10 ETH bonus will be paid proportional to each bounty hunter's contribution to September's total volume.
In recognition of the great achievement of our $ONE Makers community, Harmony has decided to extend the $ONE Makers program to October and beyond! For October, we will keep the rewards exactly the same as September, except for the community prize.
In addition, we're discussing liquidity bounties with other projects and exchanges. The concept of empowering the community to earn rewards from market making is very appealing, and we're in the process of finalizing the structure/mechanics of a more scalable platform for liquidity bounties. We plan to make a formal announcement around the end of October. STAY TUNED! 👁️
🎙️ Interview with Corey Caplan, Co-founder of Dolomite
We are rolling out an Interview Series in Hummingbot Live to introduce interesting crypto projects, and learn experience from seasoned Hummingbot users. It’s super fun!
The first project featured in Hummingbot Live Interview Series is Dolomite, a decentralized exchange built on top of the Loopring protocol, designed to achieve high transaction volume. Dolomite has recently launched its exchange, in which Hummingbot played an integral role of providing liquidity for the exchange.
The Dolomite team looked to Hummingbot as a more cost effective, DIY alternative to paying expensive market makers to provide liquidity for their exchange.
We are big fans of the Dolomite team and what they have accomplished, and they provide a great example and proof point of Hummingbot’s mission of open finance. Providing liquidity to newly established exchanges is a compelling use case for Hummingbot, helping to kick start new entrants and provide them with help to compete with existing exchanges.
In this Hummingbot Live, we are very excited to interview Corey Caplan, Co-founder of Dolomite to learn more about their project and their experience integrating with Hummingbot!
