🚀 NEW External Price Source in Hummingbot v0.22.0
Hummingbot version 0.22.0 has been released today!✌️
In this release, we added a feature that many users have requested: using an external pricing source for a market making strategy. This allows you to use the price from a different exchange or a price feed API to make a market on another exchange.
We also addressed a number of bugs, and we were continuously working on the infrastructure for the upcoming launch of Liquidity Mining.
👩🏻🔬 Liquidity Mining Kicks Off Closed Alpha
We have kicked off our 2-week closed alpha test for our upcoming liquidity mining platform. During this testing period, we aim to discover and fix as many critical bugs as possible. Once we complete this testing period, we plan to open the testing to anyone who want to participate on January 27. We expect the open beta test to last for 2 weeks before we go live on February 10.
Release schedule (subject to change)
Closed Alpha: Jan 13 - Jan 27
Open Beta: Jan 27 - Feb 10
Launch: Feb 10
We will use these testing periods to iron out kinks and ensure that liquidity mining launches smoothly for our launch partners as well as participating liquidity miners. 💪🏽
📅 Change in Release Cadence
As the Hummingbot codebase matures and to prevent users from having to update too often, we will change the release cadence from every 2 weeks to every 4 weeks. Going forward, you will expect a monthly new release of Hummingbot with bigger upgrades, meanwhile hot fixes will be done on a timely basis if any critical bug exists.
Please note that this newsletter will still be released on a bi-weekly cadence.

🛣️ Hummingbot Roadmap 2020
Last year was an exciting year for Hummingbot! We announced liquidity mining in November 2019, which gives projects and exchanges the ability to source liquidity from a decentralized network of both individual and professional liquidity miners, resulting in significant cost savings and transparency gains.
In 2020, our main focus is to prove that liquidity mining offers a better liquidity solution for projects and exchanges while enabling anyone to earn a healthy yield on their crypto holdings. In addition, we plan to make Hummingbot easier to use for our non-technical users and more customizable and extensible for our technical users.
