🚀 Hummingbot v1.15.0 release
We are very excited to ship the April 2023 release of Hummingbot (v1.15.0) today!
This release adds new connectors to Injective, ZigZag, Hotbit, and Bit.com (perp), fixes bugs in Binance, Kucoin (perp), and introduces the new Hummingbot Strategy Performance Dashboard!

📊 Introducing Strategy Experiments
“How much money can I make with this strategy?”
This is one of the most common questions we get from new quant traders. We try to explain to them that building a successful trading bot is an iterative process, and that Hummingbot is just an open source tool that helps them build and run a bot.
Unfortunately, quant trading is a secretive industry, and most traders are reluctant to share their actual strategy code and performance publicly. But we all know that the best way to learn algo trading is to understand a strategy, analyze how it performed in live trading, and make adjustments to address the issues found.
That’s why we are are starting a collaborative environment where Hummingbot users can share public strategy experiments with the community, fostering growth and knowledge sharing among quant traders. We hope to create a thriving ecosystem where quant traders can continually improve and refine their trading strategies.
By submitting your own Strategy Experiments, you can qualify for rewards from the 1 million HBOT token pool allocated via our Event & Content Incentives 2023 program, approved through the governance proposal HGP-33: Event & Content Incentives 2023.

📺 Strategy Experiment #1: Directional Strategy with MACD+Bollinger Band Indicators
Our CTO Fede conducted the first Strategy Experiment, a bot that ran a directional strategy using MACD and Bollinger Bands on Binance Futures for 11 days. Here’s how it performed:

Total uptime: 11 days, 16:42:14
Number of trades: 334
Trading volume: 4,498 USD
Net Return: -0.62 USD | PNL (%): -1.538%

🗳️ Epoch 4 Governance Polls Recap
We finished the second set of Polls, an initiative that allows the holders of HBOT to make decisions on how the Hummingbot Foundation distributes its engineering resources and developer bounties among the different components in the Hummingbot codebase.
The CEX Connectors poll placed centralized exchange connectors into Gold, Silver and Bronze tiers, which define the level of maintenance that the Foundation spends on each connector. The poll received 31 distinct votes, for a total of 22 million HBOT voting power spent.
The community chose Binance as the Gold CEX Connector, with Gate.io, Kucoin, and AscendE as the Silver CEX Connectors for Epoch 4.
The DEX Connectors poll placed decentralized exchange connectors into Gold, Silver and Bronze tiers, which define the level of maintenance that the Foundation spends on each connector. The poll received 24 distinct votes, for a total of 24 million HBOT voting power spent.
The community chose Uniswap as the Gold DEX Connector, with Quickswap, dYdX, and Trader Joe as the Silver DEX Connectors for Epoch 4.
The Core Strategies poll defines which strategies should be Core (officially maintained by the Foundation) versus Community (maintained by community members or not maintained). There were 27 unique votes in the poll, and the total number of HBOT voting power tallied was 18 million.
The community chose Pure Market Making, AMM Arbitrage, and Cross-Exchange Market Making as the Core Strategies for Epoch 4.
In conclusion, we are thrilled about the continued support & votes on the Polls, and we look forward to developing the governance through Polls further in the future.

🎓 Botcamp Event: Advanced Cross-Exchange Market Making
Jelle, a market maker and Hummingbot Botcamp mentor, conducted a valuable webinar for the Botcamp community. He imparted his insights on advanced aspects of the Cross Exchange Market Making (XEMM) strategy, covering a range of topics including utilizing multiple taker exchanges, employing a smart order route, and implementing multiple order levels.
Events like this are a big aspect of Botcamp, because we can learn from each other as a community. In addition to the 6-week core course, we organize monthly networking events, webinars, and other exclusive events for the Botcamp community.
In order to deliver the best possible possible experience, we are moving to a quarterly cohort model for Botcamp, so Cohort #5 will start in June/July 2023.

Finally, we have seen reports of scammers DM-ing users on Discord, Twitter and other channels advertising fake HBOT token sales, as well as bot spammers that impersonated the names & profile of Hummingbot Foundation team members.
If you see anyone trying to scam Hummingbot users, please report it in the new #scam-reports Discord channel.
Hummingbot Foundation has never conducted any pre-sale or sale of HBOT tokens, and anyone purporting to offer HBOT tokens is a scammer.
The only way to get HBOT tokens from the Foundation is to earn them.
