🚀 Hummingbot v1.20.0 release
We are very excited to ship the September 2023 release of Hummingbot (v1.20.0)! This latest iteration introduces the V2 strategy framework which enables backtest-able, multi-bot strategies. For developers and advanced users, the Hummingbot Python Library has been rolled out!
The addition of Hummingbot Dashboard and Library as additional user interfaces marks Hummingbot’s evolution into an open platform for creating, backtesting, deploying and monitoring fleets of trading bots running any strategy!

🤖 Create Backtest-able V2 Strategies with Dashboard
Now, you can create and backtest strategies, and then deploy the saved configurations live! In Dashboard pull request #69, we incorporated the Hummingbot Library, adapted the Backtest Manager to use it, and saves configuration files for the trials selected. Also, the new Launch Bot page allows users for deploy instances with multiple saved controller configs.
Test this out in the Dashboard beta! We will soon publish a video that explains how it works.
💰 Bounties Board Now Open For Business
The ability for community developers to fix bugs, add features, and build connectors via has allowed Hummingbot to maintain 56 different connectors to many disparate exchanges while still expanding and improving with each release.
Now, we’re excited to open up Bounties Board to external partners. Now, exchanges, protocols, and trading firms can tap into the the global Hummingbot developer base to build and maintain their connectors, and create new strategies and content!

🗳 Get Ready to Vote with HBOT
As a reminder, Hummingbot Foundation’s Epoch 6 Polls will be created on Wednesday Oct 4th and last for 7 days. The 3 Polls will dictate CEX, DEX, and Chain connectors will be included in the codebase and which ones receive HBOT bounty allocations for the next quarter.
All 3 Polls will be created at the official Hummingbot Snapshot space and only HBOT held in wallets as of the poll creation block will be able to participate.
Governance proposal HGP-45 introduced three key changes that further clarify how the HBOT token enables governance:" HBOT holders to decide which connectors should be in the Hummingbot codebase and which ones receive HBOT bounty allocations for the next quarter:
Added Chain Connector Voting: Added Poll for Chain Connectors
Defined Bounty Allocations: Gold and Silver connectors receive an allocation of 400K and 100K HBOT tokens each
Adjusted Connector Inclusion Threshold: From 100K to 200K HBOT.

✈️ Singapore Dashboard Demo
The Hummingbot Foundation team had a great time in Asia during September - it was the first time many of us had met one another in person!
In Singapore, we gave a demo of Dashboard at a Token2049 side event and met many users, both individual and institutional!
🤔 Bot Battle Retrospective
Last month, we conducted a beta version of a bot trading competition. A number of Foundation team members and community members participated, which gave us valuable feedback on how to structure and run the first Botcamp Bot Battle, which will take place at the end of October. Overall, we very excited by the results, which show that competition can be a powerful learning motivator for algo traders!

🎓 Botcamp Monthly Starts in October!
Botcamp provides professional, hands-on training for aspiring algo traders and market makers, taught using the open source Hummingbot platform.
While 120 students have taken the 6 week cohort-based version of Botcamp so far this year, we wanted to make the program more affordable and accessible, so we have converted Botcamp into a monthly subscription service.
Each month of Botcamp will have the same cadence, and all members have access to three live events during the month:
Live Session: Live instruction of monthly topic + new content module
Office Hours: Q&A with Botcamp instructors + Bot Battle Retrospective
Bot Battle: Short bot trading competition
Content Roadmap
4Q 2023: The next three months of Botcamp will familiarize members with creating, backtesting, optimizing, and deploying V2 Strategies, starting with directional strategies and incorporating market making strategies.
1Q 2024: In 2024, we plan to introduce more algo trading and data science concepts to give Botcamp members experience applying theory to the real-world issues faced by professional algo traders and market makers. Topics may include: risk management, optimization without overfitting, and multi-time frame strategies.
Botcamp members also have access to the full Content Library, the members-only Discord community, and premium support channels.

We are thrilled to be starting new monthly version of Botcamp with the first live session on Tuesday, October 10. The last day for registration is Sunday, October 8.
❌ Don’t fall for HBOT scams!
Finally, we have seen reports of scammers DM-ing users on Discord, Twitter and other channels advertising fake HBOT token sales, as well as bot spammers that impersonated the names & profile of Hummingbot Foundation team members.
If you see anyone trying to scam Hummingbot users, please report it in the new #scam-reports Discord channel.
Hummingbot Foundation has never conducted any pre-sale or sale of HBOT tokens, and anyone purporting to offer HBOT tokens is a scammer.
The only way to get HBOT tokens from the Foundation is to earn them via Bounties!
