🪙 First HBOT distributions sent
As mentioned in the HBOT announcement, The Hummingbot Foundation is distributing HBOT tokens to directly to the wallets of eligible historical code contributors who register on the Claim Site (https://claim.hummingbot.org).
In the first weekly distribution, 20.84 million HBOT tokens (52% of the Retroactive Distribution), were sent to 351 recipients. Recipients should see an email titled “Your HBOT tokens are here!” from Hummingbot Foundation <claim@hummingbot.org> with information about the distribution.
The distribution period lasts until February 28, 2022, so please claim your HBOT tokens on the Claim Site before then.

As a HBOT holder, you have the right to approve pull requests to the Hummingbot codebase, along with requesting new features and allocating HBOT grants from the community treasury.
The first three Pull Request Proposals are now available for discussion on the new Hummingbot governance forum and for voting on the Hummingbot Snapshot:

Refactoring the websockets library in BitMart connector
The Foundation plans to start the governance process generally with the release of Hummingbot 1.0, scheduled for late January 2022. These initial proposals allow us to test the governance process and tune system parameters.
